Main Purpose of the Associate Product Developer Role: Â
This entry-level, full-time position is ideal for candidates with a background in design, Â Â
merchandising, or fashion product development who are eager to grow their technical and  Â
operational skills within the product lifecycle. The Associate Product Developer supports  Â
the team to ensure garments move smoothly from concept through production—meeting  Â
aesthetic, quality, and cost goals. This individual will gain hands-on experience in product  Â
execution, vendor communication, and calendar management. Â
Major Responsibilities: Â
• Support product development from concept to production under supervision of senior  Â
team members Â
• Assist in communicating daily with manufacturers regarding product specifications,  Â
timelines, and quality standards Â
• Help coordinate approvals for wash, trim, and color details between pd/design and  Â
vendors Â
• Maintain accuracy of product data and updates across multiple systems Â
• Attend fittings and track sample status to ensure styles are on calendar Â
• Assist in preparing tech packs, cost sheets, and WIP reports Â
• Participate in design, product allocation and vendor tracking Â
• Conduct basic market or trend research to support design and merchandising initiatives Â
• Communicate cross-functionally with Tech and Buying teams
• Provide administrative and organizational support to ensure timely follow-up on all  Â
product milestones Â
Required Competencies: Â
• Understanding of the fashion product development process Â
• Strong interest in apparel design, merchandising, or production Â
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail Â
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Â
• Effective written and verbal communication skills Â
• Basic knowledge of garment construction and materials Â
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace Â
• Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop is a plus Â
Minimum Qualifications: Â
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, Product Development, or related  Â
field Â
• 2–5 years of experience in buying, merchandising, or product development Â
• Strong sense of initiative, curiosity, and desire to learn Â
• Team-oriented with a proactive, solution-driven mindset Â
Preferred Qualifications: Â
• Experience communicating with overseas vendors Â
• Knowledge of costing or garment manufacturing processes Â
• Familiarity with PLM or product tracking systems Â
