Job DetailsJob Location: Arleta Family Health Care Clinic - Arleta, CA 91331Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $94,051.00 - $117,553.00 SalaryBilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred. At least 1-2 years of experience is highly preferred. The Registered Nurse will function in a case management, care coordination, and/or patient education role.   JOB SUMMARY This position will assist in the examination and treatment of patients in the clinic. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Meet with patients in a clinic setting to assist in performing routine tests for the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients. Identify health status by taking health histories, observing signs and systems, taking vital signs, and preparing patients for the doctor to examine. Report to the physician any changes in the patient’s physical and emotional condition. Assist in epidemiological investigations, including names of communicable disease contacts and making referrals for tests and medical care. Draw blood, give injections, administer and read skin tests, administer immunizations and vaccinations, and administer prescribed medications and treatments. Provide education on preventative care and family planning. Participate in the supervision and training of aides and volunteers. Assist with medical supply inventory and orders. Keep current and accurate records. Interact professionally with the patient and the patient’s family or representatives. Consider patient cultural, psychological, social, and environmental factors. Respond to medical emergencies as needed. Participates as a PCMH Care Team Member and performs the following: Prepares for, attends and participates in team meetings and huddles. Collaborates in developing team priorities and patient goals and care plans. Active in patient education, goal setting, self-management teaching and coaching, and behavior change. Medication reconciliation and education. Utilizes standing orders when indicated. Chronic disease management. Perform other duties as assigned. QualificationsKNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES High level of professionalism, patient service, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of common medical conditions and chronic disease management. Knowledge of general pharmacology. Knowledge of preventative medicine. Ability to perform duties skillfully and effectively. Ability to follow written and verbal directions. Knowledge of Microsoft applications and eClinicalWorks (eCW) or similar. Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining a necessary degree of confidentiality. Ability to work independently and multi-task while maintaining quality standards. Ability to positively and effectively represent the organization. Ability to work in culturally and racially diverse populations and in lower socio-economic conditions.   EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Successful completion of a registered nursing program. 6 months to 1 year of related experience.   CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSURE / LANGUAGE Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of California under the scope of work of the California Board of Registered Nursing. Must be able to pass required pre-employment health and background screening. BLS/CPR certified. Must provide proof of required vaccinations by federal, state, and local funding sources. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Employees driving personal vehicles for El Proyecto business must provide El Proyecto proof of a valid driving license, and auto liability insurance.  El Proyecto will reimburse employees for their mileage at the current rate set by the Internal Revenue Service.  To receive mileage reimbursement, the employee must log their mileage and submit the mileage expense report to their Appropriate Administrator.   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Walking, talking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 10 pounds; hand and wrist dexterity to utilize a computer.   - AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY AND AFFIRMATIVE ACTION EMPLOYER -
