Diamond Grove Center Behavioral Hospital has been providing psychiatric services to the Central Mississippi Area for more than 30 years. Diamond Grove Center is located in Louisville, Miss. our 85-bed facility provides a peaceful setting for those seeking treatment for psychiatric and behavioral issues. Diamond Grove Center offers unique and individualized programming for children and adolescents ages 5-17. Diamond Grove Center has the longest tenured leadership team within (UHS) which includes a seasoned nursing department.

The Substitute Teacher will play a key part at Diamond Grove Center, by providing educational needs for the students at Diamond Grove Center, by being a key member of Diamond Grove Center. The Substitute Teacher will be a key member of the Education Department who will integrate and deliver the highest quality of care.  

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction using Edgenuity Courseware and MyPath 
• Ability to maintain a calm demeanor during tense situations  
• Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities  
• Document student behavior on Q-15 Sheets 
• Maintain a safe learning environment 
• Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position

Requirements

1. Associate's degree preferred, or 64 college hours. 
2. Must be at least 25 years of age, and authorized to work in the U.S.  
3. Must be able to pass a background check through the state department.
