Kuck Mechanical Contractors is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join our accounting team in Loveland, Colorado!

We are a family-owned mechanical contractor with over 27 years in business, specializing in commercial HVAC and plumbing construction. We're looking for a dependable, organized professional who takes pride in accuracy, communicates effectively, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

What a Typical Day Looks Like

As our Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will:

• Prepare and send customer invoices and monthly statements.
• Receive, process, and accurately apply customer payments to accounts.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on past-due balances.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding billing questions, payment status, and account discrepancies.
• Review billing information from project managers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain and update stored material certificates and supporting billing documentation.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies and account issues.
• Collaborate with project managers and accounting team members to keep billing and collections on track.
• Maintain accurate customer records and organized financial documentation.
• Assist with other accounting responsibilities and cross-training as needed.

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 1–2 years of accounts receivable or related accounting experience.
• Associate degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
• Excellent mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers, accounting software, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
• Professional and courteous approach to customer service and collections.

Preferred:

• Accounts receivable experience in commercial construction or a related industry.
• Familiarity with construction billing processes and supporting documentation.
• Experience with Spectrum or similar construction accounting software.
• Experience managing customer accounts, payment applications, and collections.
