POSITION: Event Runner

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The position is event based and will be scheduled on an as needed basis.

Maintains a professional appearance and mannerism
Possesses knowledge of the area (i.e. street and business locations)
Works with a show’s touring manager running errands, shopping for groceries picking up/dropping off talent at the airport/hotel, picking up food at local restaurants, dropping off/picking up laundry, setting up an office environment for show personnel
Maintains spending records and receipts for all purchased items
Performs other tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements and Abilities

Must be 21 years of age (required to operate a rental vehicle and to purchase alcohol)
Must be licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle and must pass a driving background check
Must be able to pass a background check for cash handling
Must possess the ability to operate a 15-passenger van, an SUV, and/or a passenger vehicle
Must possess the ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Must possess the ability to work hours as dictated by events, very frequently from early morning until late at night with some shifts lasting longer than 12 hours

Must possess the ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, work independently and as a team, and have reliable transportation. The position is event based and will be scheduled on an as needed basis.
Candidate may be asked to use personal vehicle on occasion. Having access to a vehicle that seats at least 5 people is a plus.
Must possess the ability to speak, read, and communicate effectively

WORKING CONDITIONS

Location: On Site at The Buddy Holly Hall, Lubbock, Texas

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, during events, the noise level may be loud

Ability to navigate a variety of floor surfaces and areas, including continuous standing and walking, including up and down stairs.
