Assistant Mechanic – Entry Level

Pine Lake Companies is seeking a dependable and motivated Entry-Level Assistant Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of company vehicles, landscaping equipment, and small engines. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical knowledge who is interested in learning and developing their skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with routine maintenance and basic repairs on trucks, trailers, mowers, and landscaping equipment
Perform oil changes, tire changes, filter replacements, and other preventative maintenance
Help diagnose mechanical issues under the direction of the Lead Mechanic
Clean, organize, and maintain the shop, tools, and work areas
Pick up parts and supplies as needed
Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance and repairs
Follow all company safety procedures
Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Basic mechanical knowledge or a strong interest in learning
Previous experience working with vehicles, small engines, or landscaping equipment is preferred but not required
Ability to use basic hand and power tools
Dependable, organized, and willing to learn
Ability to follow instructions and work well with others
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to communicate in English or Spanish

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in different positions for extended periods
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to safely operate tools and mechanical equipment

Schedule

Full-time position. The schedule may vary depending on operational needs.
