Job Title: Kitting

SAS Forks LLC is a small business in Luxemburg, WI. We are the leading manufacturer in the material-handling equipment industry. Applications for our attachments include material handling at salvage yards, rock quarries, construction contractors and other rugged applications. Job Summary:

Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts. Conducts quality control checks. Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools. Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, tools, and materials. Assists in receiving. 

Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Read Bill of Materials for each production job.
• Pre-Kit all jobs 
  • Kit all parts according to BOL for fabricators and machinists
  • Spot check critical measurements on ‘burn-out’ parts according to blueprints
  • Cut and grind materials needed and properly mark according to BOL/blue prints.
• Complete daily pre-operation checklists for loader and forklifts
• Receive and verify parts to prints
• Operate & maintain the following fabrication equipment:
  • Horizontal steel cutting band saw
  • Hand & bench grinders (Grind sharp edges off cut materials)
  • Pneumatic Bevel cutter
  • Ironworker punch press and drill press
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Operate forklift, jib crane, and overhead gantry crane.
• Perform weekly inventory count on key materials.
• Practice safe work habits.

Qualifications and Experience: 

• Highschool diploma or related preferred 
• Basic blueprint reading skills
• Experience operating a drill press, manual lathe, band saw, and bench and hand grinders.
• Experience applying paint to steel products with paint gun and/or electrostatic paint gun.
• Experience, or willingness to learn to operate blast media unit to blast parts.

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs on a regular basis.
• Mobility: Ability to bend down to floor, pick up items, lift to table height, grasp materials, tools & fixtures with hands & manipulate safely into position as required by the blueprints and related fixtures.

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: 

Monday- Thursday

5a-3:30p 

Overtime available on Fridays
