Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies

The position requires assisting students in the Athletic Training “Taylor” Labs. The ATEP Lab Student Assistant will also assist faculty and staff, as needed, on a daily basis. Student candidates must exhibit patience, courtesy, respect, active listening skills, and highly effective interpersonal skills. The position requires good oral communication, excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and a professional attitude. Must be able to multi-task in a busy office environment and stay self-motivated to complete all tasks assigned, in a timely manner. Must be familiar with office equipment and have proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office). Student candidates must be currently enrolled at the institution and eligible for federal work-study aid.

Student employees are paid at least the current Virginia minimum wage per hour. Pay may vary by position and department based on job responsibilities, required skills, available funding, and market conditions.
