$20.00 per hour plus mileage

The Grant Program Facilitator is a casual, as-needed position responsible for providing leadership and supervision to girls ages 5–17 in assigned geographic areas, including under-resourced communities. This role focuses on delivering high-quality program experiences in afterschool and community center settings.

Facilitators implement and deliver programs aligned with the goals and objectives of Girl Scouts of North East Ohio (GSNEO) and in compliance with specific grant requirements. In addition to program delivery, facilitators are responsible for maintaining accurate records and submitting required documentation to track and evaluate program outcomes.

These programs are designed to introduce, support, and enhance Girl Scout troop and group activities, helping to extend and sustain girl membership throughout the council area. Grant Program Facilitators play a vital role in ensuring girls receive meaningful, enriching experiences that reflect the mission and values of the Girl Scouts.

Requirements

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Program Delivery: Delivers and implements a minimum of two (2) Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) programs per week within an assigned regional area throughout the school-year (excludes summer programming). Facilitator must be available to run programs daily, between 1:30 – 5:30 PM (this includes travel time).

1. Data      Reporting
        Accurately records and submits attendance and program outcome data in      compliance with grant reporting requirements and deadlines.
2. Volunteer      Support
        Builds strong relationships with volunteers and caregivers to provide      mentorship, ensure understanding of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience      (GSLE), and support program delivery as needed.
3. Collaboration
        Works closely with the Grants and Funded Initiatives Manager and Site      Coordinators to remain informed and aligned with grant objectives and      program goals at assigned sites.
4. Program      Support
        Assists with additional GSNEO program initiatives as needed to support      organizational goals.
5. Commitment      to DEIA
        Actively embraces and integrates diversity, equity, inclusion, and access      (DEIA) into all aspects of program delivery and council representation.
6. Administrative      Responsibilities
        Completes weekly time logs and monthly expense reports using Paylocity      financial management software.
7. Other      Duties
        Performs additional responsibilities as assigned to support the successful      implementation of GSNEO’s mission, programs, and strategic priorities.

 POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education and Experience: 

· Associate degree or some college coursework preferred in education, social work, youth development, organizational leadership, or a related field. 

· An equivalent combination of relevant work experience (2–4 years) in youth programming or related areas will be considered. 

· Knowledge of the Girl Scout program is preferred. 

Skills and Abilities: 

· Ability to facilitate high-quality Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) programs that promote girl-led learning, cooperative teamwork, and learning by doing.

· Strong skills in creating safe, supportive, and trauma-informed afterschool environments that foster belonging, emotional safety, and positive youth development.

· Demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships with girls, caregivers, volunteers, school staff, and community partners.

· Effective group facilitation and classroom management skills tailored to afterschool and community-based settings.

· Effective problem-solving skills with flexibility, patience, and a self-directed work ethic.

· Strong organizational and documentation skills to ensure accurate attendance tracking, outcome reporting, and grant compliance. 

· Ability to respond to challenging behaviors with patience, empathy, and developmentally appropriate strategies.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality, model professionalism, and exercise sound judgment when working with youth and families.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, respectfully, and in a culturally responsive manner.

· Reliable time management skills, including punctual arrival at program sites and consistent follow-through on responsibilities.

· Ability to collaborate effectively with GSNEO staff, site coordinators, and volunteers to support program quality and grant goals.

· Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and access (DEIA) and to creating affirming, inclusive spaces for all girls.

Other Requirements: 

· Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and access to a reliable, insured vehicle in good working condition. 

· Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as needed.
