Job Summary:
Performs advanced manufacturing functions with increased independence. Responsible for the safe setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting of CNC mills, lathes, and related equipment. Supports production efficiency, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines, including mills and lathes, with minimal supervisionÂ
- Interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions to produce precision partsÂ
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM, etc.)Â
- Identify and troubleshoot minor machine or process issues and escalate as neededÂ
- Complete work orders and accurately maintain all required production and quality documentationÂ
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary offsets or adjustments to maintain quality and efficiencyÂ
- Ensure parts meet customer specifications and quality standardsÂ
- Maintain a clean, organized work area in alignment with 5S standardsÂ
- Handle, package, and label finished goods according to customer and company requirementsÂ
- Assist in training and mentoring Level 1 operators as directed by leadershipÂ
- Collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve issues and improve processesÂ
- Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiativesÂ
- Conduct daily review of production requirements and proactively address potential delays
Required Skills/Abilities:Â
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and manufacturing principlesÂ
- Proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretationÂ
- Ability to make machine adjustments and perform basic troubleshootingÂ
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindsetÂ
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skillsÂ
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficientlyÂ
- Strong communication and teamwork skillsÂ
- Solid math skills, including measurements and calculationsÂ
- Ability to train and support less experienced operators
- English proficiency (verbal and written)Â
- Completion of “Go/No-Go Gauge Skills” (Routsis) or equivalent.
- Completion of “Basic Math for Molders” (Routsis) or equivalent.
- Completion of “Basic Blueprint Reading” course group (Routsis) or equivalent
- Completion of “Intro to CNC Machines 201” (Tooling U)

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 1+ years of CNC machining experience or equivalent demonstrated skill level
Physical Requirements:Â
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings.
- Moderate to heavy physical demand involving lifting and moving of materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work standing for extended periods of time and maintain dexterity when handling parts, tooling, components, etc.
- Ability to maintain repetitive motions without limitations
2nd Shift Hours: 1pm - 9:30pm
3rd Shift Hours: 9pm - 5:30am
