Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced TCMS Software Engineer to develop, configure, test, and validate software for the Main Processing Unit (MPU) within Train Control & Management Systems (TCMS) for rolling stock and metro projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain TCMS application software for MPU.
  
• Analyse system requirements and translate them into software design and implementation.
  
• Configure train control logic, vehicle functions, diagnostics, and operational features.
  
• Develop interfaces with Propulsion, Braking, Doors, HVAC, and PIS subsystems.
  
• Prepare software design documents, functional specifications, and test procedures.
  
• Perform software integration, unit testing, system testing, and validation.
  
• Troubleshoot software issues during integration, testing, and commissioning.
  
• Support vehicle-level testing and commissioning at manufacturing and customer locations.
  
• Ensure compliance with railway, functional safety, and cybersecurity requirements.
  
• Coordinate with System Engineering, Hardware Engineering, and Validation teams.
  
• Support customer acceptance testing and project delivery.
  

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in TCMS software development for rolling stock.
  
• Good knowledge of embedded systems, industrial control systems, train control functions, and diagnostics.
  
• Programming experience in C, C++, and Structured Text (IEC 61131-3).
  
• Knowledge of IEC 61375, MVB, ECN, and ETB.
  
• Working knowledge of CAN, Modbus, TCP/IP, and serial communication.
  
• Experience with software debugging, simulation, testing, version control, and configuration management.
  
• Exposure to functional safety and cybersecurity for railway systems.
  

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in TCMS software development and integration.
  
• Hands-on experience in MPU software configuration, testing, and commissioning.
  
• Experience with TCMS platforms such as EKE Electronics, ABB, Siemens, Alstom, Hitachi Rail STS, or equivalent.
  
• Experience working on rolling stock / metro train projects.
  
• B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Instrumentation, or related discipline.
