PM Bartender

The Bartender provides exceptional service by preparing and serving beverages to guests, supporting the restaurant staff, and contributing to a positive and professional atmosphere. Bartenders are responsible for delivering quality service while ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards and maintaining a clean, organized bar environment.

Essential Job Functions

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and portion control standards.
• Ensure prompt, accurate service to multiple customers while supporting Statehouse restaurant servers.
• Provide professional, friendly, and warm hospitality to all guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, glassware, utensils, and work areas.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock needs to management.
• Handle cash and POS transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Comply with all State, Federal, and corporate liquor regulations, including age verification.
• Support fellow team members and maintain positive teamwork throughout the restaurant and bar.
• Attend pre-shift meetings and required training sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience in casual or fine-dining settings.
• Professional knowledge of cocktails, wine, and beverage service with willingness to learn new techniques.
• Ability to manage multiple guests and orders simultaneously while maintaining service quality.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a team-oriented attitude.
• Self-motivated, positive, and attentive to guest experience.
• Ability to physically perform duties including lifting, carrying trays, and navigating kitchen and bar areas.

Working Conditions

This position operates in both indoor and outdoor settings, behind the bar, in the dining area, and in an office environment. The role may require extended hours, high-volume periods, and work in varying weather conditions. This role operates in a busy restaurant environment, using standard equipment including POS systems, commercial glassware washers, and bar tools. 

Employees may be exposed to various workplace hazards, including but not limited to cuts, slips, trips, pinching, falls, and burns.

Physical Requirements

This is an active role requiring frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching. The position involves regular lifting of up to 10 lbs and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
