Position Summary

Nexteel Saha, LLC is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to maintain accurate inventory records and support the efficient flow of materials, supplies, tools, and parts throughout our manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of inventory experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office—particularly Excel. This position requires regular coordination with production, maintenance, purchasing, accounting, and warehouse personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, count, label, and record incoming materials, supplies, parts, and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and update inventory transactions in the company’s tracking system.
  • Issue materials, parts, tools, and supplies to authorized employees and departments.
  • Perform routine cycle counts and assist with monthly and annual physical inventories.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and report unresolved variances to management.
  • Maintain organized inventory, storage, warehouse, and supply areas.
  • Prepare inventory reports, spreadsheets, receiving records, and supporting documentation.
  • Verify packing slips, purchase orders, quantities, and item descriptions.
  • Communicate shortages, damaged materials, low-stock items, and delivery discrepancies.
  • Assist with establishing minimum and maximum inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Accounting to support accurate receiving and invoice processing.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Perform other inventory, warehouse, and administrative duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least one year of inventory, warehouse, stockroom, materials-control, or related experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to create and maintain spreadsheets, enter data accurately, and prepare basic reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to count inventory accurately and identify discrepancies.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple departments.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work safely in an active industrial and manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Inventory experience within a manufacturing, steel, oilfield, or industrial environment.
  • Experience working with inventory-management, ERP, or accounting software.
  • Experience with purchase orders, packing slips, receiving documents, and cycle counts.
  • Basic familiarity with tools, maintenance parts, industrial supplies, or production materials.
  • Forklift experience or certification is a plus but is not required.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout warehouse and production areas.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work around industrial equipment, noise, dust, and changing temperatures.
  • Ability to use required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear.
  • Ability to work at a computer and perform repetitive data-entry tasks.
