Eligible applicants will have a passion for educating young minds and be availability for full-time work. 


Pay: $22.35 – $23.10

Schedule: Non-Exempt, Day Shift, Full Time, Monday – Friday working 40 hrs/week, Seasonal with four one-week layoffs spread over the program year

Requirements

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • HS Diploma (or GED) plus Technical/Vocational certificate. CDA and 1 to 3 years working with low-income families and/or young children preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. 
  • Must be willing to attain CDA.
  • Must be willing to earn a CDL.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practices for the classroom is essential.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence. 
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to apply common sense solutions in standardized situations. 
  • Must have the ability to work in a positive and cooperative manner children, staff and parents. 
  • Must effectively and professionally deal with typical and unexpected classroom situations. 
  • Must honor private/confidential information.
  • Must have basic computer skills including working with e-mail, internet, data entry, computer files, databases and/or web-based programs.
  • Must have valid drivers’ license.  
  • DHS Net Study clearance required.
