Part time, 20+ hour per week positions at AMI are eligible for Paid Time Off (PTO), Paid Holidays, 401k & Profit Sharing.  Health benefits are not currently extended with part time positions.  Offered rates increase based on years of work experience. The Receptionist is responsible for but not limited to: Greets patients in a welcoming manner upon arrival, signs them in, and obtains their demographic information.  Verifies that the patient’s demographic information is accurate and ensures that insurance cards, consents, and other documents are complete and in order.  Answers phone calls and routes callers to the appropriate staff or department to ensure patient satisfaction.  Provides patients with history forms, copies of AMI office policies, and legally required documents.  Explains required forms to the patient in detail and obtains required signatures as needed.  Prepares patients' charts in advance to ensure efficient registration experience.  Gathers and prepares patients' records for release.  Receives, sorts, and distributes incoming mail and interoffice courier deliveries.  Processes payments from patients for out-of-pocket costs, fees, and copays.  Schedules appointments for patients according to scheduling guidelines.  Provides preparation instructions as needed for tests.  Provides patients with support and guidance by listening to them, building their confidence, increasing satisfaction, ensuring commitments are met, setting appropriate expectations, and responding to their needs.  Always maintains patient confidentiality.  Works as a liaison between patients and the clinical team to enhance the delivery of patient care.  Maintains a calm demeanor and continues to provide courteous customer service when confronted with a difficult situation.  Maintains the reception and waiting areas in a neat and orderly condition.  Completes detailed work assignments in a timely manner.  Performs other duties as assigned The Part Time, 20 hour per week positions will provide coverage in AMI's Wall office location. The work schedule includes Tuesday and Friday, 9:30am-8pm. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs. QualificationsCandidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.  Previous clerical experience and intermediate computer skills are required.  Must demonstrate excellent customer service practices and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.  Previous experience in a medical office or hospital is strongly preferred.  Exceptional communication skills, both in-person and on the phone, are required for success in this position. AMI offers the 401K retirement benefit to Per Diem employees.  Offered rates increase based on years of work experience. EOE
