Villagio Hospitality Group is growing! We are seeking dynamic and energetic Hosts to join our award-winning team at Proof Kitchen & Bar. If you’re a customer service professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and are dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences, we want you on our team!
As a Host, your responsibilities include greeting guests, providing accurate wait times and seating guests. For this role, you should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive till their departure.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcomes guests with hospitality and courtesy by meeting, greeting and seating them as they arrive
- Maintaining a neat and organized reception area
- Answering phone calls, taking reservations, verifying reservationsÂ
- Assisting with To-Go orders
- Managing restaurant wait list during high volume periodsÂ
- Assisting with running food and cleaning tables when necessaryÂ
REQUIREMENTS:
- General knowledge of basic customer service skills, restaurant operations, and food service principles
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Pleasant demeanor with teamwork attitude; ability to work well with others
- Ability to effectively handle customer concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
- High School or equivalent. Coursework in restaurant preferred.
- Experience in high volume restaurants is preferredÂ
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Able to lift 15 lbs. without assistanceÂ
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
