APO Claims Analyst

Asbestos, Pollution & Other Latent Liabilities 

Location: Manchester, NH (Hybrid)

The RiverStone Group, Founded in 1999 and operating as part of Fairfax Financial Holdings, is a global insurance and reinsurance services organization specializing in legacy (run‑off) insurance management, claims administration, and risk solutions. RiverStone helps insurers and reinsurers transfer and manage discontinued or non‑core portfolios,
enabling clients to free up capital and focus on active underwriting businesses. 

What You’ll Do

  • Manage asbestos, pollution, and/or other claims involving historical insurance policies
  • Review lawsuit and/or claim notices and interpret policy coverage
  • Coordinate with defense counsel, expert witnesses, and peer insurance carriers
  • Evaluate liability and damages
  • Drive litigation strategy and settlement negotiations
  • Collaborate with the Reinsurance team on reporting and recovery efforts
  • Support due diligence requests and travel as needed
  • Maintain required adjuster licenses

What You'll Bring

  • 3–5 years of claims handling experience, litigation experience, or related background
  • Experience with management and evaluation of litigation and claims
  • Experience with coverage analysis preferred, but not required
  • Ability to manage multiple complex matters in a fast-paced environment

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Preferred: JD, CPCU, SCLA, or CCLA
