Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to set up, operate, monitor, and maintain both automatic and manual resin application, ​milling, spreading, and curing equipment used in the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality, machine efficiency, safety compliance, and adherence to production specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate single-operation and multi-operation automatic and manual machines used in resin spreading, milling, and curing processes.
  • Select appropriate materials and resins based on production requirements and work orders.
  • Adjust nozzles and machine settings to achieve required resin application thickness and product specifications.
  • Position, align, bolt, clamp, and secure guides, fixtures, and materials for production runs.
  • Set and adjust machine parameters including:
    • Speeds and feeds
    • Temperatures
    • Pressures and flow rates
    • Stops and releases
    • Cure settings
  • Perform machine changeovers and setup adjustments to meet varying production requirements.
  • Verify proper machine function and ensure compliance with product specifications.
  • Conduct sample runs and inspect products against quality standards prior to full production.
  • Monitor production processes and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Perform periodic visual inspections to verify:
    • Resin thickness
    • Adhesion quality
    • Cure rates
    • Product appearance
    • Overall conformance to specifications
  • Ensure adequate inventory of materials and supplies is available for scheduled production runs.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records as required.
  • Follow all company safety policies, quality procedures, and standard operating practices.
  • Assist with routine machine maintenance and housekeeping of work areas.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience operating manufacturing equipment, including automatic and/or manual machinery, preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and production schedules.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Ability to use measuring devices and perform quality inspections.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the work shift.
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to [weight requirement] pounds.
