Insurance Clerk - Full-Time | Days

In thisrole, you will support insurance and patient account operations by ensuringaccurate information, timely processing, and efficient coordination ofinsurance-related activities.

WhatYou’ll Do

KeyResponsibilities

• Prepare andsubmit accurate claims to payers using proper methodology
  
• Addressinquiries regarding claims and insurance coverage
  
• Make necessaryadjustments, corrections, and changes to patient accounts
  
• Rebill claims asrequired & processremittance advices
  
• Respond to payerrequests to support timely payments
  
• Offer self-paypatients appropriate options, including financial applications, TennCareapplications, and deposits for non-emergency procedures
  
• Work withminimal supervision while following written and verbal instructions
  
• Maintainfamiliarity with the organization and functions of all units
  
• Demonstrateeffective communication, empathy, and a commitment to positive interactionswith patients and colleagues
  
• Establishmeasurable annual goals and objectives
  
• Foster positivecustomer relationships
  
• Ensurecompliance with departmental policies, procedures, and regulations
  

What WeAre Looking For

• Experience with medical claims andinsurance processing preferred
  
• Knowledge of insurance coverage andpayer requirements
  
• Strong attention to detail andaccuracy
  
• Ability to manage patient accounts andbilling adjustments
  
• Familiarity with remittance processingand claim rebilling
  
• Strong communication and customerservice skills
  
• Ability to work independently withminimal supervision
  
• Empathy and professionalism whenassisting patients
  
• Strong organizational andtime-management skills
  
• Ability to follow policies,procedures, and regulations
