Job Title: On-Site Security/Maintenance

Location: U-Square Apartments

Job Description

U-Square Apartments is looking to add a few dependable individuals to our team as On-Site Security/Maintenance staff. This is an on-call role with no standard schedule. Team members will be contacted as needed, primarily during evenings, nights, and weekends, to assist with urgent resident, security, and light maintenance needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Serve as the after-hours point of contact for fire personnel (training provided on fire panel and sprinkler systems).
• Respond to tenant lockouts, noise complaints, and security-related concerns.
• Assist with security issues and resident disturbances as needed.
• Perform light maintenance tasks requiring immediate attention, including:
•   - Plunging toilets and turning off water as needed
•   - Replacing fire alarm batteries
•   - Troubleshooting HVAC issues with phone support from management or vendors
• Perform light cleaning duties as needed.
• Assist with snow shoveling and ice melt application during winter conditions.
• Support seasonal landscaping tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Living on-site and typically home at U-Square most evenings and weekends for on-call availability.
• Quick to respond to emergency and urgent after-hours situations in a calm and professional manner.
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
• Basic maintenance or facilities experience preferred (training provided).
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Pay

$16–$25 per hour, depending on the type of call and duties performed.
