Job Overview

Fairview is hiring a Medical Assistant/MA for our Podiatry Clinic in Maple Grove!

 

This is a temporary position expected to go through December 2026. Opportunities to continue working for Fairview may exist.

 

Location:  Onsite at Fairview Clinic- 14500 99th Ave North, Maple Grove, MN 55369

Hours: 80 hours/two weeks, full-time

Shifts:  Days Monday-Friday

Weekend rotation, as needed

 

As a member of the clinic care team, the Medical Assistant supports quality patient- and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high-level functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families. The Medical Assistant delivers care as delegated by the physicians/authorized practitioner, or registered nurse (RN) to assigned patient populations or individual patients. Delegates care may include (but is not limited to): medication administration, vaccine administration, injections, phlebotomy (blood draws), assisting with sterile procedures, collecting vital signs.

MA Responsibilities

  • Delivers care as delegated by the physician/authorized practitioner or RN, to assigned patient population, or individual patient.
  • Prioritizes work based on patient acuity, available resources, patient/family preferences, provider schedule, in collaboration with the physician/authorized practitioner and other health care team members.
  • Performs high and low risk technical procedures defined by the clinical setting includes medication and vaccine administration, specimen collection, assistance with CPR.
  • Effectively communicates compliance and concerns to delegating physician/authorized practitioner/RN.
  • Takes action to assure continuity of care for all assigned patients.
  • Documents care in the medical record.

Required Qualifications

  • Possess a Medical Assistant Diploma with proof of completion of a 160-hour externship or
  • Certified Medical Assistant American Associate of Medical Assistants or
  • Medical Technologist American Medical Technologists
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) by start date
