The Impact You’ll Make in this Role Â
As a Product Quality Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:Â
Driving Quality tools in NPI to accelerate projects while mitigating risk by ensuring consumer needs are met, test methods are robust, specifications are well defined, and manufacturing processes are capableÂ
Supporting laboratory, products, processes, and systems such as addressing customer complaints and working with the team on corrective actionsÂ
Supporting and interacting with customers and consumers through complaint investigations, resolution, and trending including monthly Quality Dashboard reportsÂ
Troubleshooting, investigating, and analyzing for non-conforming product testing and dispositionÂ
Driving existing product quality enhancement through use of continuous improvement methods and tools, such as: Product and Process Understanding (PPU), Design of Experiments (DOE), Six Sigma and Quality at the Source
Ensuring commercialized product design intent and product integrity is retained as materials, processes, methods, and specifications changeÂ
Supporting change as it relates to design changes inspired by quality improvement, source of supply changes, or cost reduction effortsÂ

Your Skills and Expertise  Â
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Â
Â
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
Five (5) years of combined experience Quality Engineering, Product/Process Engineering or similar, Supplier Management, Quality Management Systems, Six Sigma, Statistical Analysis and/or Design Control within a private, public, government, or military environmentÂ
Â
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Â
Â
Master’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionÂ
Experience working with ISO9001:2015Â
Experience working with suppliers in a quality improvement capacityÂ
Experience with statistical analysisÂ
Manufacturing experienceÂ
ASQ certificationÂ
Â
Work location:Â Â On-siteÂ
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic and internationalÂ
