Job Description:

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION: English Adjunct Instructor Fall Semester 2026

Prior to hiring, candidates will undergo a pre-employment criminal background check, motor vehicle records review, and employer/professional reference verification. After initial screening, additional documentation may be requested.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:  Part-time position based on semester system. Fall semester 2026 beginning on August 17, 2026- December 14, 2026.  Adjunct faculty responsibilities are centered on preparing and teaching classes as assigned. Applicants could be required to teach online or onsite as needed.

Note: Adjunct Instructor positions are part-time positions of employment appointed on a per academic term basis.  Therefore, your employment is limited, and there is no expectation that your association with Chattahoochee Tech will be extended beyond this term.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university with 18 graduate hours in English coursework
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two years postsecondary teaching
  • Experience using Blackboard Ultra

SALARY/BENEFITS:  Salary--$2,300 per course.  There are no State Benefits.

Please be aware that all Chattahoochee Technical College employees must be paid by DIRECT DEPOSIT unless exempted by the State Accounting Office based on “hardship” evidence provided by the employee.
