***PART TIME POSITION ONLY ~ FRIDAY & SATURDAY NIGHTS

Position Summary: 

 As prescribed by the property standard operating procedures, the Restaurant Server will ensure that all guests are served to the hotel's standard in the Restaurant/Bar and Lounge areas. Display highest standards of hospitality and welcome are demonstrated at all times within all food and beverage areas.

 

Tasks and Duties: 

  1. Check station before, during and after shift for proper setup and cleanliness as well as assisting bus persons with stocking and maintaining the restaurant par stock levels. 
  2. Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor. 
  3. Greet the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials for the day and menu changes if any. 
  4. Suggest food and beverage to the guest and also try to upsell.
  5. Take food and beverage orders from the guest, repeat the order to the guest to check for accuracy.
  6. Abide by the State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
  7. Serve food and beverage to the guest as per the course order and observes guests and to ensure their satisfaction with the food and service. 
  8. Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desert and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils.
  9. Help other areas of the restaurant such as answering telephones and completing financial transactions.
  10. Obtaining revenues, issuing receipts, accepting payments, returning the change.
  11. Print closing report and drop the financial report in the safe at the front desk.
  12. Perform all assigned closing side work to include replenishing condiments and restocking the stations. 

               

Experience:  Previous serving experience preferred however will train. Excellent oral communication skills required.  Positive interpersonal skills required.  Must be able to speak English fluently and be able to write in Basic English.

Physical:  Must have the ability to bend, squat, and frequently lift 15 pounds and occasionally 25 pounds. You must be able to be on your feet for an extended period of time. This position requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, walking, repetitive motions, visual acuity, hearing and speaking ability.
