Coordinates documentation and processing of cytology specimens. Processes specimens. Prepare micro section slides. Performs special staining. Maintains instrumentation. Monitors histology department and maintains performance improvement records. Represents department in a professional manner. Receiving, logging, and labeling incoming tissue biopsies and surgical specimens. Prepares specimens for send out testing. Clerical work as needed. QualificationsEducation Requirements and Other Requirements: Education Level: Associate’s degree in Histology or equivalent. Certification/Licensure: HT(ASCP) preferred Experience Requirements: Minimum one year histology laboratory experience preferred
