Job Description:

 

Production Planning Support C supports manufacturing operations through material coordination, and status tracking activities that help ensure the timely flow of materials and manufacturing orders through the production process. Responsibilities include reviewing daily production plans, maintaining accurate transactions, resolving moderately complex material and order issues, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to support schedule execution and operational objectives.

This is a support role that applies established procedures, standard practices, and developing subject matter knowledge to complete assignments with greater independence under limited supervision. The individual is expected to demonstrate solid job knowledge and planning skills, exercise sound judgment in day-to-day decision-making, and proactively identify and address issues that may impact production flow, schedule attainment, or material statuses.

The role works with internal stakeholders including manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, quality, and program teams to gather information, communicate status, and help resolve material and production-related issues. Success in this role requires attention to detail, organization, follow-through, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting production goals in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

 

Essential Functions:

·         Coordinate with planning, manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, quality, and program teams to support production needs.

·         Monitor manufacturing order status, production schedules, and material on the manufacturing floor to support on-time execution.

·         Update planning systems, spreadsheets, and reports to ensure timely and accurate information is available to the organization.

·         Support continuous adherence to established processes, quality requirements, and organizational procedures.

 

Qualifications:

 

·   Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills.               

·   Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or

    2 years post-  Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

·    Ability to read and interpret Bills of Material and production-related requirements.

·    Ability to use business systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools to maintain accurate data and status.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
  • Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other standard business tools.
  • Experience with ERP or planning systems such as Costpoint preferred.
  • Experience with data management, reporting, and transaction processing preferred.
