Toolroom Press Operator | 1st Shift 
Mason, OH

Reporting to the Toolroom Supervisor, the Press Operator will follow procedures defined by the Toolroom Supervisor in proper machine parameters, operation, and parts inspection. Quality and safety practices must be followed while maintaining and reducing shop costs where applicable. Responsible for performing progressive die stamping process on mechanical presses. Once parts are machined, they verify conformance by visually inspecting and utilizing various inspection tools, such as micrometers and optical inspection equipment. Upon completion of manufacturing, the Press Operator will package parts. 

Essential Tasks: 

  • Follow all Hi-Tek policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPE 
  • Operate mechanical presses, following procedures outlined by Toolroom Supervisor
  • Verify conformance by visually inspecting parts and proper use of inspection equipment to verify dimensions
  • Demonstrated ability for attention to detail
  • Must properly package material upon completion of manufacturing and inspection
  • Use of fork-truck to move skids of material and parts
  • Operate overhead crane when necessary 
  • Report proper labor hours in the ERP system
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties
  • Demonstrates the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Any other duties as assigned to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organization’s values

Education, Experience, & Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must meet the definition of a "U.S. person" under ITAR, as set forth in 22 C.F.R. §120.62.

Physical Demand Levels:

  • Lift, Push, and Pull up to 35 pounds
  • Bend, Crouch, and Reach at least 50% of scheduled shift
  • Stand at least 75% of scheduled shift
  • Frequently switches between near/far visual acuity 
  • Perform under AS9100 standards

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday
Pay: $24-$30/hour, Based on experience
