Position Name:Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

We are seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an inpatient assignment. The SLP will provide comprehensive speech, language, swallowing, and dysphagia services to hospitalized patients while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Pay

Traveler Rate: $50/hour

  • $22/hour taxable W-2
  • $28/hour non-taxable stipend
Location: Mattoon, IL
 Start Date: November 2, 2026
 Duration: 13 Weeks | Ends January 30, 2027
 Shift: Days | 8-Hour Shifts
 40 hours/week Guarantee
 Assignment: Travel Only
 Local Radius: 50 Miles 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive bedside swallow evaluations.
  • Conduct and interpret video swallow studies.
  • Assess and manage patients with dysphagia and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify interventions as appropriate.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding swallowing safety and treatment recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and treatment records.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Follow established patient-safety, infection-control, and clinical standards.

Requirements

  • Current Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) credentials and required state licensure.
  • Strong inpatient clinical experience.
  • Experience performing video swallow studies and bedside swallow evaluations.
  • Demonstrated experience with dysphagia management.
  • Previous travel experience required.
  • Strong communication, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills.
