Essential Duties:

 

  • Serve as a liaison between the schools and the district office in the use of the district’s student information system.

  • Respond and provide timely technical assistance to all end-users with expert troubleshooting, coaching, and customer service.

  • Monitor, identify, and prioritize the analysis, diagnosis, resolution, and documentation of SIS support tickets and calls using the IT ticketing system.

  • Assist with maintaining student information data integrity by frequently auditing data to identify and correct potential errors.

  • Assist in the documentation of SIS protocols, procedures, and systems to provide step-by-step guidance to all users that ensure consistent and accurate district-wide practices.

  • Facilitate timely and accurate data collection for assigned schools for state and federal reporting procedures.

  • Participate in local, state, and national SIS user groups and attend professional development to stay current on products and developments of the district’s SIS and learning platforms.

  • Assist with processing requests for information and maintaining confidentiality by adhering to state/federal laws.

  • Collaborate with various district data reporting teams to ensure the accuracy of all regulatory reporting collections and district accountability reporting.

  • Support deployment of SIS enhancements to schools, such as product upgrades, security changes, file definition and table changes.

  • Create and maintain system user profiles, accounts, groups, and establish security settings in accordance with established policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrate strong, on-going communication and collaboration with school-based personnel to ensure accuracy of all federal and state reporting collections.

  • Complete job-related duties during off-peak hours as needed.

  • Maintain accurate records and the integrity of confidential information.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or state-approved High School Equivalency (HSE); advanced education/training, preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Georgia State DOE reporting including FTE, Student Records, and all other state requirements, strongly preferred.

  • Working knowledge and proficiency with Office 365, specifically EXCEL and WORD.

  • Knowledge and understanding of relational database systems.

  • Ability to develop and design workflow forms and scripts.

  • Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and strong professional reputation.

  • Ability to abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.

  • Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.

  • Ability to be present at the physical worksite.

  • Must perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.

  • Must perform routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.

  • Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.
