Nelbud is hiring an experienced Fire Alarm Service Technician to join our Chicagoland team. We're looking for a skilled technician with hands-on fire alarm experience who can independently inspect, troubleshoot, service, and repair commercial fire alarm systems.

This is a field-based position serving customers throughout the Chicagoland area, with a particular need in the northern suburbs.

What You’ll Do

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, service, and repair commercial fire alarm systems
• Diagnose system deficiencies and determine necessary repairs
• Perform preventative maintenance and service work
• Complete inspection reports and service documentation accurately
• Communicate system issues and recommended solutions to customers
• Maintain accurate service records
• Follow applicable safety procedures, codes, and company standards
• Provide professional, dependable customer service in the field

What We’re Looking For

• NICET Fire Alarm certification or equivalent required
• NICET Level II preferred
• Previous commercial fire alarm service, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair experience
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to work independently in a field-service environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Dependable, professional, and safety-focused
