Ā
Sadler Health Center is looking for a Physician Assistant who wants the full breadth of family medicine back.Ā

Not a narrow slice of it. Here you will care for newborns, teenagers, working adults, and elders — often from the same family, sometimes on the same afternoon — and you will keep caring for them for years.

As a Federally Qualified Health Center, we serve patients regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. That means your panel will include people managing multiple chronic conditions alongside real social complexity: uncontrolled diabetes and hypertension, anxiety and depression, ADD/ADHD, substance use, housing and food insecurity. It is demanding work. It is also the work that changes outcomes, and you will not be doing it alone — behavioral health, case management, pharmacy, and community health workers are embedded on your team and a referral away, not a fax away.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Provide comprehensive primary and family care to patients of all ages, in accordance with Pennsylvania licensure and your professional scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and manage complex, comorbid presentations — including hypertension, diabetes, anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, and pediatric acute and well care — and escalate or refer when the patient needs more.
  • Order, interpret, and integrate laboratory and diagnostic results into sound assessments and treatment plans.
  • Coordinate transitions of care as patients move between inpatient, emergency, and community-based settings.
  • Drive preventive care: routine screening, immunizations, well visits, and connection to community resources for the patient and their family.
  • Educate patients and families on medications and treatment plans, engaging case management when needed.

WHAT YOU BRING

Required

  • Graduate of an ARC-PA (AMA-approved) Physician Assistant program; master's-level degree.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of post-graduate experience as a Physician Assistant in primary care. Candidates with substantially more experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Current, valid Physician Assistant license issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Ability to obtain a valid DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate prior to start date
  • Sound clinical judgment, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving clinic.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred

  • Experience in a community health center, FQHC, or public health clinic setting.
  • Experience serving low-income, multi-ethnic, and medically underserved populations.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) or additional language capability.
  • Experience with value-based care, HEDIS/UDS quality measures, or PCMH workflows.

Sadler offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage; employer-sponsored retirement plan; paid time off and paid holidays; CME allowance and paid CME time; licensure and DEA reimbursement; and federal malpractice coverage under FTCA.
