Job Description

Summary

Join an established Florida wills, trusts, and estates practice led by a board-certified Managing Attorney with 30+ years of experience. This role handles probate and trust administration matters from opening through final distribution.

 

You’ll manage court filings, deadlines, estate assets, financial records, beneficiary communications, and probate documentation. This is a full-time, onsite role in Melbourne, FL.

 

 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage probate and trust administration matters.
  • Draft and file probate and trust pleadings.
  • Track court deadlines, filings, and case workflow.
  • Review wills, trusts, and financial records.
  • Identify and marshal estate and trust assets.
  • Assist with bank accounts, securities, and other assets.
  • Coordinate estate property cleanouts and real estate sales.
  • Communicate with beneficiaries, creditors, courts, and other parties.
  • Obtain EINs for estates and trusts through the IRS.
  • Assist with estate and trust inventories and accountings.
  • Coordinate tax documentation with internal and external tax professionals.
  • Assist with partial and final beneficiary distributions.
  • Prepare attorneys for probate and trust hearings.
  • Maintain organized electronic client and financial records.

 

What You'll Need

  • 3+ years of paralegal experience required; 5+ years preferred.
  • Florida estate/probate administration experience required.
  • Experience drafting probate and trust administration pleadings.
  • Ability to read wills, trusts, and financial documents.
  • Familiarity with Florida e-filing procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Associate degree or relevant equivalent experience; degree preferred.
  • Florida Registered Paralegal or Certified Paralegal credential preferred.
  • Ability to work onsite in Melbourne, FL.
