Position Requirements
NAPA is looking for an experienced accounting professional who will be responsible for key accounting functions in the monthly close process and will drive financial data accuracy by providing high-quality work product. The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with accounting standards, supporting audits, and is dedicated to continuous improvement of the close tasks and processes. This position requires strong financial system knowledge, critical thinking, analytical skills, attention to detail, the ability to manage complex financial data, and an inquiring mind.
Key Responsibilities
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 On a monthly basis, close the books timely and accurately in accordance with GAAP.聽 This includes journal entry preparation, balance sheet account reconciliations, and P&L analyses to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial results.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Analyze period over period results and provide meaningful commentary on reasons for variances.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Automate and/or streamline manual and inefficient processes; contribute to the ongoing maintenance and implementation of internal controls.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist with providing information to the external auditors in connection with the year-end financial statement audit.

Minimum qualifications
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 3-5 years of progressive experience as an accounting professional
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Bachelor's degree - Accounting
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Public accounting experience
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strong knowledge of GAAP
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Large scale ERP system experience (i.e., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday)
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Advanced Excel skills
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strong aptitude to understand accounting systems and how to extract and reconcile information
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Able to work in a dynamic, fluid, fast-paced environment
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Able to effectively work on a remote team
Not required, but a plus
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 CPA
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Workday experience
