Corporate Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Program Manager

Position Summary

Are you passionate about driving enterprise-wide safety excellence, environmental stewardship, and data-driven decision making? We are seeking a strategic and influential EHS leader to shape and advance our Environmental, Health, Safety & Environmental (EHS&E) programs across the organization.

In this highly visible role, you will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of world-class EHS systems that support our commitment to operational excellence, compliance, sustainability, and employee well-being. You will serve as the enterprise subject matter expert for EHS data, analytics, reporting, and technology platforms while partnering closely with business leaders to develop innovative safety and environmental strategies that create measurable impact.

This role combines strategic leadership, project execution, change management, and technical expertise, offering a unique opportunity to influence company-wide performance, strengthen sustainability initiatives, and drive a culture where safety is a core value.

What You'll Do

Strategic Leadership & Program Development

  • Lead the selection, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide safety and environmental programs that drive compliance, risk reduction, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with the EHS&E leadership team to establish performance metrics, strategic priorities, and long-term objectives that elevate organizational performance.
  • Develop and execute safety and environmental strategies, governance frameworks, policies, standards, training programs, and communications that support business objectives.

EHS Systems & Analytics Excellence

  • Serve as the enterprise owner and administrator of EHS information management systems, ensuring optimal performance, user adoption, data integrity, and continuous enhancement.
  • Design and lead enterprise-wide EHS reporting, analytics, dashboards, and performance measurement systems that provide actionable business insights.
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence & Analytics teams to modernize data platforms, reporting capabilities, and system functionality.
  • Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions that improve data visibility, compliance, and operational effectiveness.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Provide technical guidance and oversight for incident reporting, investigations, environmental compliance activities, and corrective action processes.
  • Lead and maintain enterprise corrective action management systems, ensuring timely resolution of findings and alignment with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Support corporate EHS auditing programs and participate in site assessments, compliance reviews, and risk evaluations.
  • Monitor evolving regulatory requirements and drive proactive solutions to ensure organizational compliance.

Sustainability & Continuous Improvement

  • Support enterprise sustainability initiatives through data collection, reporting, and performance tracking.
  • Drive process improvements that enhance safety performance, environmental outcomes, and operational efficiency.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning across multiple business units.

Stakeholder Engagement & Change Leadership

  • Partner with leaders at all levels to influence organizational change and strengthen EHS culture.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, regulatory agencies, vendors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Deliver engaging presentations, training programs, and communications that drive awareness and action.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive EHS experience, including significant exposure to regulatory compliance and environmental affairs.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in EHS systems, data management, analytics, reporting, and performance measurement.
  • Experience leading complex projects, system implementations, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and EHS management systems.
  • Experience with Workers' Compensation programs and processes.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, facilitation, and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate complex issues, identify solutions, and drive results.
  • Ability to work independently while leading enterprise-wide initiatives and collaborating across multiple functions.
  • Willingness to travel up to 35% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with Tableau, EHS databases, business intelligence tools, and dashboard development.
  • Experience designing and managing enterprise reporting and analytics programs.
  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, or related credentials are highly valued.
