Job Summary
This position supports the Library and Learning Commons by assisting with general library functions, including access services, collection maintenance, outreach & engagement, and customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain order in the Information Desk area as well as throughout library: collect used books, straighten tables and chairs, etc.
- Staff the Information Desk as needed to provide excellent customer service: check in/check out materials, maintain tidiness, greet patrons, assist with directional questions, etc.
- Shelve books and other materials; participate in routine shelf-reading and inventorying in the stacks.
- Serve as peer ambassador for Library services by participating in scheduled outreach initiatives.
- Assist with Library opening and closing tasks.
- Complete other duties as assigned in collaboration with all Library staff.
