Bar Manager — Buffalo Wild Wings | Metairie, LA
$43,000–$52,000 base, based on experience

Know what it's like to be in the stadium on game day? Then you know what it's like to work at Buffalo Wild Wings. It's fun. It's fast-paced. We're at the top of our game — and we want to keep it that way. So we're constantly upping the ante, providing the ultimate experience for our fans. And, of course, it's our people who bring that experience to life.

GAME DAY

As a Bar Manager, you're a full restaurant manager with a bar-focused lane — part of the same management team as our Kitchen Manager and Service Managers, sharing accountability for the entire operation. Your primary responsibility is directly overseeing our Bartenders and the bar program, but like every manager on our team, you're expected to run the whole floor: opening and closing the building, managing labor and P&L across departments, stepping in wherever the shift needs you, and carrying full operational responsibility when you're the manager on duty.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Owning the bar program day to day — staffing, scheduling, execution, and guest experience at the bar
  • Directly managing and developing our Bartender team, building a roster of All Pros through ongoing training
  • Sharing full responsibility for total restaurant operations alongside our Kitchen and Service Managers, including FOH and HOH coverage as needed
  • Running shifts as manager on duty, with accountability for the entire building — not just the bar
  • Driving guest satisfaction and engagement, and identifying opportunities to strengthen sales and the bottom line
  • Ensuring full compliance with responsible alcohol service, safety, and security procedures
  • Partnering with the broader management team on inventory, cost control, scheduling, and P&L across the restaurant

WE'LL PROVIDE THE PLAYBOOK, HERE'S WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • You know the business. General knowledge of labor laws, health codes, safe food handling and sanitation, responsible alcohol service, safety and security systems, and computer operations.
  • You have the education and experience. High school graduate or equivalent, with food handler and alcohol dispensing certifications where required by law. Extra points for a bachelor's degree, 2+ years of restaurant experience, and/or 1+ years of prior management experience.
  • You're team focused. A genuine passion for training and developing the people around you — behind the bar and across the whole restaurant.

BRAG FACTOR

You'll be working for the hottest brand around and having a blast doing it. As a Manager, you're eligible for quarterly performance-based bonuses, an annual performance-based wage review, and a comprehensive benefits program including Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage plus PTO. We put the same vigor into developing our managers that we put into our famous wing sauces — from learning and development to real career progression, we've got it covered. And yes — you'll never miss a sporting event again.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a restaurant manager
  • Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with the ability to recall ingredients and dishes to inform guests and staff
  • Great leadership skills
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and develop a team
  • ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certificate
  • ServSafe Alcohol Certificate
