The University of Miami Department of Interventional Radiology has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Professor of Clinical. As one of the largest and highest volume Interventional Radiology (IR) departments in the country and a premier academic institution in South Florida, we offer a full spectrum of IR clinical procedures, training and research while serving over 21,000 patients a year. We work with a wide range of specialists across campus – from Liver Transplant, Hepatobiliary, Radiation Oncology, Urology as well as Orthopedics to provide excellent multidisciplinary care.
JOB FUNCTIONS:Â
Interpret interventional radiology imaging studies and perform interventional procedures
Focused on clinical care, research, and training of residents and fellows
Assist in the development and implementation of new and innovative interventional proceduresÂ
Be responsible for evaluating patients both pre and post intervention and contribute to the expansion of outpatient clinics for interventional proceduresÂ
Supervise performance of technical personnelÂ
Evaluate and consult new referrals and follow up patients in IR clinicÂ
Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of interventional imagingÂ
Provide interventional imaging consultation as requestedÂ
Provide emergency patient care as required in the setting of an Interventional radiology practiceÂ
Be part of the on-call schedule in Interventional RadiologyÂ
Assume administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Chairman related to the practice of interventional imaging. Â
Participate in teaching activities related to interventional radiology as required in: Residency/fellowship training programs, medical student education program, technological radiology educational programs, and continuing medical education programs
Serve on Departmental, University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Medical Center committees and provide service to the same in other manners as requested
 Participate in research activities as an investigator and mentor
Will provide service at the following UM/ JMH locations in Miami Dade and Broward County:  UHealth Sole Mia, UHealth Doral, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, UHealth Tower Hospital, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center – Plantation, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center - Deerfield Beach, Lennar Foundation Medical Center, andJackson Memorial Hospital. In addition to these locations,the faculty members may see patients in clinic at the Desai Sethi Medical Center.Â

QUALIFICATIONS: Â
Education:Â
Medical Degree from an accredited Medical School (or foreign equivalent)Â Â
Certification and Licensing:Â
Florida Medical License or equivalentÂ
American Board of Radiology CertificationÂ
Completion of an ACGME approved Fellowship Program in Vascular InterventionalÂ
