Regional Operational Planning Manager (Miami, FL)

Position:Â
The position exists to manage regional/subregional level demand and supply planning on a tactical level to meet business objectives and plays a central role in ensuring end-to-end continuity in supply chain activities on a daily basis in accordance with our Global Planning Calendar.Â
Â
 Responsibilities:Â
- Portfolio Management
Stay up to date with markets performance results as well as NPD activities considering short and mid-term planning horizon (18 months rolling) and translate market strategy to Long Term and Capacity; Planning groups to trigger the implementation of new projects;
Manage complexity in terms of new product configurations and innovations, regulation and phasing of products;
Establish strong relationships with Market & Regional teams. Participate in Regional ASP (Annual & Strategic Planning) reviews to understand market strategies, collect & communicate future requirements within GSC (Global Supply Chain) facilitating capability studies and preparation for the Manufacturing Plan;
Support in the integration of new businesses into the JTI framework such as new acquisitions or new market entries (New brands, sourcing, or product categories like RRP – Reduced Risk Products);

- Forecast Collection & Analysis
Review and challenge the monthly forecast in order to provide feedback to supply part of the organization to prepare the resource availability on time; Stay in close contact with markets to understand and evaluate sales trends and volume development on a monthly basis;
Â
- Supply Planning Activities
Run/monitor Planning of JTI warehouses for specific markets in scope, ensuring all inventory targets are met;
Be a strong liaison between markets and supply planning teams (SNO Team & Factory Planners);
Provide direction & support to team members to define priorities & find appropriate solutions;
Drive consistency between RSF (monthly Rolling Sales Forecast) process & financial planning cycles as well as Operational Planning, IBP tool (Integrated Business Planning) and SAP S4;
Remain agile and ensure timely actions are taken to secure supply on a market level and avoid out of stocks;
Â
- Annual and Strategic Plan
Coordinate the volume submission and SKU allocation, as well as inventory targets on time and in collaboration with markets for the respective area of responsibility;
Run the Sales, Production, and FG (Finished Goods) inventory continuity projection through respective tools to deliver the production volume to factories and Year-End inventory assumptions to the Finance function;
Analyze the market strategies and innovations based on the submitted volume;
Â
- Business set-up
Regularly review existing business setup & network to anticipate and improve both lead time and cost perspective;
Â
- Master data, reports, KPIs & P&P
Act as master data owner for the Operational Planning team and respective markets under responsibility. Ensure its accuracy & processes are well understood & followed by the team and markets by defined KPIs;
Contribute to the development of reports & KPIs that will provide meaningful overviews & enable focus on core areas in line with the business unit needs;
Comply with corporate policies & procedures as well as ensure Demand Planning policy is regularly updated and adapting to the evolving business environment;

- People Management
Leads, coaches and motivates the team to achieve the objectives, and having a primary focus on growing people to influence and add value.
- University degree, and/or similar work experience in Supply Chain Planning & Operations;
- 5+ years of experience in the area of Supply Chain Planning (Demand or Supply) in a multinational company;
- Fluent in English (written & spoken). Any additional language(s) are an asset;
- Advanced SAP ECC & APO user, BW experience required. SAP IBP knowledge (Integrated Business Planning) is preferred.
