The Sr. Analyst, Regulatory Intelligence, Reporting, Green Finance & LCA provides foundational analytical, data, and coordination support across the companyās regulatory intelligence, emissions and sustainability reporting, greenāfinance analysis, and lifeācycle assessment (LCA) activities.Ā
Working under the guidance of a manager, this role supports the translation of complex environmental and financial regulations intoĀ accurateĀ datasets, structured analyses, and reliable reporting outputs that inform decarbonization decisionāmaking and governance. The Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring data quality, methodological consistency, and auditāready documentation across regulatory and sustainability requirements.Ā
This role is execution focused and analytical in nature andĀ contributes toĀ highāquality inputs, rigor, and structure that enable Managers and Directors to make informed decisions.Ā

Essential Duties andĀ ResponsibilitiesĀ
1) Regulatory Tracking & Intelligence SupportĀ

Tracks maritime decarbonization regulations relevant to assigned scope (e.g., IMO, EU ETS,Ā FuelEUĀ Maritime, UK ETS, CSRD).Ā

Summarize regulatory updates, guidance documents, and consultations intoĀ clear briefing notesĀ for internal use.Ā

Maintain regulatory trackers, timelines, and reference materials under Manager guidance.Ā

Provides comparison of regulatory requirements across regions and frameworks.Ā
2) Emissions, Sustainability & Compliance Reporting SupportĀ
-
Collect,Ā validate, and organize emissions, fuel, and operational data supporting regulatory and sustainability reporting.Ā

Lead preparation of datasets and documentation for: EU ETS andĀ FuelEUĀ Maritime compliance; Internal decarbonization KPIs and dashboards; Sustainability and ESG disclosures (e.g., CSRDāaligned inputs)Ā

Perform data checks, reconciliations, and quality reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency.Ā

Maintain clear audit trails and supporting documentation for verification and assurance processes.Ā
3) Green Finance & Carbon Economics AnalyticsĀ

Provide analysis of carbon pricing exposure (e.g., EU ETS, UK ETS) by preparing inputs, calculations, and scenario comparisons.Ā

Track allowance positions, forecast vs. actual performance, and compliance impacts.Ā
-
Support development of analytical inputs used in compliance strategy evaluations (e.g., pooling, banking, fuel switching).Ā

Prepare structured tables, charts, and summaries that translateĀ emissionsĀ data into financial insights.Ā
4) LifeāCycle Assessment (LCA) & Methodology DevelopmentĀ

Lead application of lifeācycle assessment (LCA) methodologies for fuels, technologies, and operational measures.Ā

Compile andĀ maintainĀ emission of factors, assumptions, boundaries, and data sources. Share regular updates on key information to supportĀ methodologyĀ development.Ā

Help ensure consistency with recognized standards (e.g., ISOābased approaches, regulatory wellātoāwake definitions).Ā

Validate and document methodological choices used inĀ analysesĀ and reporting.Ā
5) Data Quality, Controls & Governance SupportĀ

Maintain structured datasets, models, and documentation used for regulatory, financial, and sustainability reporting.Ā

Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution processes.Ā

Document assumptions, methodologies, and calculation logic clearly and consistently.Ā

Develop improvement of tools, templates, and workflows in collaboration with the Manager and Digital/Data teams.Ā
6) Stakeholder Coordination & Communication SupportĀ

Coordinate data and input requests with Marine Operations, Fuel, Finance, and Corporate Responsibility teams.Ā

Prepare draft presentation materials, dashboards, and briefing packs for Manager and Director reviews.Ā

Conduct workshops and working sessions by preparing materials, analysis, and summary outputs.Ā

Interface with external consultants and verifiers as required under Manager supervision.Ā

Qualifications and EducationĀ

Bachelorās degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Economics, Finance, Maritime Studies, or related discipline.Ā

4ā6 years of relevant experience in sustainability, regulatory analysis, emissions reporting, data analytics, finance, or related roles.Ā

Interest in or exposure to maritime, energy, infrastructure, or other regulated sectors preferred.Ā

Foundational understanding of GHG accounting,Ā emissions,Ā metrics, and lifecycle thinking.Ā

StrongĀ analytical skills with high attention to detail and data quality.Ā

ProficiencyĀ in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with dashboards or BI tools necessary.Ā
