The Material Coordinator maintains sufficient inventories of raw materials and packaging material to meet production requirements to fully complete customer orders on time.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS

  • Place purchase orders for required packaging materials.
  • Schedule delivery dates of packaging materials to meet plant requirements.
  • Monitor shipments to ensure that goods come on time, and in the event of problems trace shipments and follow up undelivered goods. 
  • Confer with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action. 
  • Participates in and supports Quality Assurance and Improvement Program. 
  • Maintain and review computerized or manual records of items purchased, costs, delivery, product performance, and inventories.
  • Discrepancy Resolution – investigates shortages, damages, or rejections and implements solutions to reduce inventory inaccuracies.
  • Analyze inventory data, identify trends, and investigate inconsistencies.
  • Learns and understands the inventory processes taking place within Parity Factory & Great Plains.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse Staff, Planning, Raw Receiving, and Plant Management to maintain organized, safe, and efficient storage areas.
  • Performs data entry into various programs and/or databases to support accurate and timely tracking and reporting of plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Associate’s degree from a two-year college in a related field, preferred.
  • Minimum Five (5) years related experience and or training.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
