Job Duties
- Applies comprehensive knowledge of Pennsylvania civil and criminal law, including constitutional, statutory, case law, procedural rules, and rules of evidence.
- Conducts legal research using online platforms and reference materials; assists the Judge in researching and analyzing complex legal issues before, during, and after proceedings.
- Assists Senior visiting Judges
- Builds effective working relationships with the Judge and Court Administration staff.
- Communicates with attorneys, litigants, court personnel, and the public regarding docket‑related procedural matter.
- Maintains organized court calendars, tracks pending cases, and keeps the Judge updated on case status and deadlines.
- Drafts opinions, orders, and memoranda in a clear, logical, and Judge‑appropriate style.
- Reviews and evaluates pleadings, motions, briefs, and other filings, and discusses them with the Judge to determine appropriate courses of action and support timely resolution.
- Performs additional job‑related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
- Juris doctorate (J.D.) degree
- Admission or actively seeking admission, to the Pennsylvania Bar Association to practice before the courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
