ANESTHESIA TECH - OPERATING ROOM

The Anesthesia Technicians are integral members of the anesthesia care team. Their role is to assist anesthesiologists and anesthetists in the acquisition, preparation and application of the equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia. In this role, they contribute to safe, efficient and cost effective anesthesia care. They provide support in anesthesia for routine and complex surgical cases by assisting in the preparation and maintenance of patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems before and during anesthesia. 

Essential Duties & Functions:

1. Cleaning/restocking supplies for anesthesia

2. Assisting with room turn over and cleaning

3. Daily set up of anesthesia machines

4. Troubleshoot anesthesia equipment

5. Assist anesthesia with blocks, spinals, and intubation

Education

Minimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GED

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Current CPR is required.

Experience

Minimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience

Preferred experience: 1 year in an acute care setting.
