About Critical Facility Group
Critical Facility Group (CFG) is an MEP consulting and owner's project management firm specializing in data centers and mission-critical facilities. Our engineers and project managers design, build, and protect the infrastructure that keeps the world's most important systems running, from substations and power systems to mechanical, electrical, and telecommunications design.

We're a remote-first team of experienced professionals who value technical excellence, ownership, and collaboration. Most CFG roles are fully remote; our owner's project management team works on-site at client locations. At CFG, you'll work on complex, high-impact projects alongside people who care about doing the work right.

This is a full-time on-site role based in the Midland-Odessa area of Texas.

As a Construction Project Manager at Critical Facility Group, you'll serve as the owner's representative on site for data center and mission-critical facility projects. You'll keep the owner's budget and schedule on track, coordinate the contractor, designers, commissioning team, and data center operations, and be the person the client and project team rely on for a straight answer.

The Opportunity
This role fits someone with real construction project management experience who is ready to run an owner-side workstream on site, not just support one. You'll be involved from design through construction, commissioning, and turnover, with day-to-day responsibility for the owner's schedule, cost tracking, and project coordination.

What You'll Do
- Maintain the owner milestone schedule and track progress against the contractor's detailed schedule
- Track owner-side costs, commitments, and forecasts; review pay applications and change orders
- Coordinate the contractor, architect/engineer, vendors, commissioning team, and data center operations
- Review bids and GMPs and support contractor and consultant selection
- Track RFIs, submittals, long-lead equipment, and site observations
- Lead project meetings and report regularly to the client and the CFG team
- Raise risks early and escalate issues that need an owner decision
- Support commissioning, turnover, and closeout

What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of construction project management experience on complex commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects
- Working knowledge of all project phases, from drawings and specifications through construction, commissioning, and turnover
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Clear written and verbal communication, including regular client reporting
- Ability to work on site full time in the Midland-Odessa area

Preferred
- Data center construction experience
- Owner's representative experience
- ACC, Procore, or similar platforms
- PMP or similar credential

Why Critical Facility Group
We're a growing team, and the people on it bring experience in data center design, construction, and operations. As a Construction PM, you'll have real ownership over how these projects get delivered, working closely with a team that understands why reliability and long-term operation matter on every decision.

Compensation & Benefits
The pay range for this role is listed above. Final compensation is based on experience, licensure, and location. CFG offers:

  • Medical insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • $1,500 annual HSA contribution with the high-deductible plan
  • 401(k) with a 100% match up to 5% of compensation
  • 11 paid company holidays plus paid time off
  • $75/month cell phone reimbursement and $50/month health reimbursement
  • Eligible for bonuses

Work Authorization
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. CFG is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas. This role is open to candidates residing in states where CFG is registered to employ.
