Summary:

This position will support capital projects with development of plans and specifications, perform analysis and provide reports on assigned tasks associated with the design and construction of new assets.聽聽This position will be responsible for the implementation and support of the entire project cycle for growth projects including scope and design development, request for funding preparation, estimating and submittals, material procurement, execution, construction oversight, and project close-out documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:聽

  • Responsible for meeting the project scope, budget, and schedule for natural gas and crude oil gathering projects that include pipelines, facilities, meter stations to name a few.聽
  • Implement entire project cycle for projects including scope and design development, request for funding preparation, estimating and submittals, material procurement, execution and construction oversight, cost and schedule management and project completion.聽聽
  • Provide project direction to project team members including project controls, engineering design, operations, ROW, legal, environmental, supply chain, etc.聽
  • Work with (and provide guidance to) the construction group members in construction and inspection activities.
  • Supports business development (BD) with engineering reports, documentation, alternative options/designs, estimates, studies, capabilities definition, and presentation materials including making presentations to potential and existing client representatives.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to project stakeholders including commercial development, operations, outside customers, and executive Management.
  • Manage multiple projects at various phases in different geographical areas at one time.
  • Take part in continuous improvement activities for growth projects and the development and implementation of MOC鈥檚, Lessons Learned, PSSR鈥檚, training, etc.
  • Develop projects that adhere to Company engineering standards, code compliance, safety requirements, and other accepted industry engineering practices.
  • Coordinate with company personnel, as well as outside vendors and contractors for project implementation.聽
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a larger team.
  • Work with company personnel聽as a technical expert and provide guidance on highly complex technical questions.
  • Work with company personnel in providing guidance on abilities of existing assets in system expansion projects.
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen engineering knowledge base and proficiencies and share knowledge with others.



Requirements:

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Bachelor鈥檚 degree in an engineering discipline

  • 6-8 years related experience in pipeline, measurement, facilities, compression, pumps, and/or processing environment.聽
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must be a self-starter, have good organizational skills and be able to accept constantly changing priorities.
  • 6-8 years Engineering, operations, and/or project experience
  • Microsoft products including MS Project
  • Engineering programs

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • The Engineer level聽requires a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in an engineering discipline and 3-6 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Senior Engineer level requires a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in an engineering discipline and 6-8 years of relevant job related experience.
  • The Senior Engineer II level requires a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in an engineering discipline and 8-10 years of relevant job related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid State Driver鈥檚 License
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license
  • Familiarity with DOT 192, ASME, API and ASTM specifications, standards and recommended practices.

Working Conditions:


The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Normal office working conditions and field work
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%25 of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required. If the role is filled in Houston, 30%25 travel is anticipated.
  • Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment will occur.
