The store associate must display a commitment to supporting the overall university and Slingshot mission and demonstrate the university and Slingshot’s values. Duties / Responsibilities: Serving store customers in all capacities, including point-of-sale operations with handling cash and credit card payments, telephone calls (including voicemails and returning calls), and online sales fulfillment and shipping Assist with in-store receiving, locating textbooks, and general merchandise Shipping of textbooks and general merchandise Fulfilling textbook orders General clerical responsibilities such as filing paperwork, typing simple documents/Excel spreadsheets, and emails to students when needed Other duties as assigned Skills / Qualifications Required: Be able to lift 50 pounds Ability to carry, bend, and stretch in the performance of campus store operations as well as stand for long periods A high school diploma or equivalent One  year of experience in retail or customer service preferred Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with students, faculty, staff, and general customers Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as Google Suite. Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to self-start and work independently Schedule flexibility during peak seasons
