Travel Plaza Cashier

Job Description:

As a Travel Plaza Cashier at Onvo, you will be responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently, while providing exceptional customer service

Job Responsibilities
* Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases, answering questions about products and services.
* Operate a point-of-sale (POS) system, including cash registers, credit card terminals, and lottery machines, to process various payment methods.
* Accurately handle cash, process credit/debit card transactions, and provide correct change.
* Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including stocking shelves and rotating merchandise as needed.
* Monitor fuel pumps, activate them for customers, and assist with any related inquiries.
* Handle customer complaints or issues professionally and escalate to management when necessary.
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to age-restricted sales (e.g., tobacco, alcohol, lottery).
* Assist with inventory management tasks such as receiving deliveries, checking for damaged goods, and performing stock counts.
* Cooperate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and a positive customer experience.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the store manager or supervisor.

Job Qualifications
* Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy environment.
* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
