The Technologist Aide will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups, assist technical staff while maintaining a fast-paced medical environment.Week1: Thursday 7am-8pm at the CC; Friday 7am-8pm Milford Cancer Center MRI
Week 2: Thursday 7am-8pm at the CC; Friday 7am-330pm Milford Hospital MRI
Job Description:
What you will do
- Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
- Assist Technologist in setting up the room.
- Set up proper coil for exam
- Ensure there is clean linen
- Make available any items, which may assist the patients setup.
- Assist in the patient interview process.
- Safety check list.
- Symptoms and history.
- Determine if prior exams.
- Make sure patient is properly dressed for exam.
- Explain procedure to patient.
- Reassure the patient if anxious.
- Assist technologist in setting the patient for exam.
- Aid the patient getting on table.
- Ensure all safety devices are in place.
- Help makes the patient comfortable.
- Assist technologist upon completion of exam.
- Remove the patient from bore.
- Remove all safety equipment.
- Aid the patient off the table and assist to changing area.
- Assist in checking that all paperwork is complete.
- Assist getting all prior paper work.
- Assist getting all prior pertinent exams.
- Assist in checking that prior exams are on the appropriate workstation.
- Assist with Tech Data Entry.
- Assist with the cleaning and stocking of exam rooms.
What you need:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- CPR certification required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills required.
- Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties. Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
Additional Job Description:
The pay range for this position is $18/hr-$29/hr + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
