Athea Laboratories, a leader in specialty chemical product manufacturing, is seeking a Machine Operator. This position is located at the Athea-Cornell 1900 West Cornell St., Milwaukee, WI 53209 facility.

At Athea Laboratories, we have 2 different Machine Operator Specialties. We employ both Fill Line Operators and Perforator/Rewind Operators. This is selected based off of skill-set, experience, and availability. 

Fill Line Operator

This position is responsible for setup/changeovers, operation, and cleaning of equipment that is used to fill, seal, and label containers of chemical product.

Perforator/Rewind Operator

This position is responsible for setup/changeovers, operation, and cleaning of equipment that is used to convert bulk substrate to the correct size and count for intermediate and finished products.

Essential Job Functions

  • Operation of equipment for production such as filling equipment, printing equipment, labeling equipment, aerosolizing equipment, transfer pumps.
  • Setup, changeovers, and adjustment of equipment
  • Cleaning and sanitizing equipment used in production
  • Retrieving materials for assembly into finished product
  • Measuring correct fill weights
  • Completion of production-related paperwork
  • Data entry of production-related information into enterprise resource system

Other Responsibilities

  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions
  • Ability to accurately complete paperwork/documentation
  • Ability to use a calculator to do basic calculations and arithmetic
  • Able to use hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, mallets, etc.)
  • Vision and depth perception adequate to correctly set up the equipment
  • Must wear all required personal protective equipment (e.g. Tyvek overalls, foot protection, eye/face protection, hand protection)
  • GMP facility – any jewelry or piercings must be able to be removed or covered
