Payroll Specialist & HR Coordinator

 

Position Summary 

This position is responsible for the preparation and processing of US and international payroll for 100+ employees, and will also support the HR department administratively relating to a wide variety of tasks including recruiting, benefits, company activities, performance review process, and many other HR areas.

Primary responsibilities:


  • Process US payroll with ADP and work closely with a 3rd party vendor to provide payroll information for processing international employees paychecks.


  • Maintain and process employee payroll records in ADP, including pay rates, benefit deductions, new hires set up, benefit deductions, garnishments and employer HSA contributions and other payroll-related changes to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll issues 
  • Generate and distribute payroll reports
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including new hire paperwork, system updates, employment verification, and payroll setup.
  • Assist with HR related audits and compliance reporting such as 401k, workers compensation, EEOC, etc.
  • Process and manage various vendor sites related to Johnstech benefits (life, medical, vision, dental). This may include reconciliation of bills.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings for the Executive Team.
  • Process non-disclosure agreements for the company
  • Update org charts, phone lists and other related lists
  • Manage and generate service awards
  • Assist in the recruitment process such as job postings, scheduling interviews, etc.
  • Assist with company related events such as ordering food, setting up event room.
  • Assist with benefits open enrollment 
  • Additional duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 4+ years’ experience processing payroll with ADP. 
  • Experience maintaining employee records within an HRIS or payroll system.
  • 3+ years’ experience in an administrative / coordination role
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle confidential information accurately.
  • Highly organized
  • Flexible in handling a wide range of tasks.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
