We are actively seeking a highly engaged, motivated, and community-centered individual for a part-time Silver Sneakers Instructor in Mission Viejo. This role is an opportunity to inspire and empower members by delivering engaging, safe, and effective group exercise classes for our Active Older Adult (AOA) community. This position will look to foster genuine connections, practice exceptional hospitality, and create a safe, positive, and enriching environment where every interaction is meaningful. The Silver Sneakers Instructor will help promote healthy lifestyles and demonstrate our commitment to supporting community well-being. Location: Mission Viejo Work Schedule: Part-Time Purpose and Impact: Inspire Healthy Lifestyles:  Motivate participants to achieve wellness goals and model positive habits. Foster Community and Inclusion:  Create welcoming spaces and build meaningful connections that enhance member experience. Ensure Program Excellence:  Deliver engaging, safe, and high-quality classes aligned with organizational standards. Maintain Safety and Standards: Uphold safety regulations and ensure proper care of equipment and facilities. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Age: 21+ years old. Education & Experience: Preferred: Two- or four-year degree in health, exercise science, recreation, or physical activity-related field. Coursework in human anatomy, exercise physiology, and kinesiology preferred. Related background in health and/or fitness. Certifications: Active Silver Sneakers Certification required.  First Aid and CPR certifications required (training provided and paid for by the YMCA).
